Florida Baseball CWS Moments: Adam Davis home run puts Florida in the championship series

In what seems to be a repeating theme when researching these moments, there doesn’t seem to be video of when the Florida Gators beat Arizona State in 2005 to put Florida Baseball in the championship series for the first time ever.

That doesn’t take away from the legacy of Adam Davis helping the Gators to get there.

Down 3-0 early in the win or go home game, Florida clawed it’s way back to make it 3-2 after Brian Leclerc hit a two-run homer.

Davis stepped up in the fifth inning with two runners on and launched a shot over the fence that gave Florida the lead for good.

While Florida ultimately lost in the finals to Texas, it was still a significant step to showcase what the program could become.
