Florida Football Worst QBs: John Brantley III

  • 1977 to 1979
  • 1,515 career passing yards
  • 48.5% career completion percentage
  • 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions

John Brantley, the fourth, was decent during his time as a Florida Gator and is currently 11th on the all-time career passing yards list in Gainesville.

His father, however, can not lay claim to such success. Of the 29 QB in Florida history with at least 200 career passing attempts, his career completion percentage of 48.5% is the second worst in program history.

He is one of only six QBs in that group to throw more interceptions than he did touchdowns.

During his primary season as a starter in 1978, the Florida Gators went 4-7.
