Florida football: What is the Gators’ ideal eight game schedule?

This one you won’t find on a lot of schedule predictions. But I’m not trying to read the minds of the league and plan out their moves for you here. I’m getting down what would be ideal for the Gators and their fans.

Can you imagine the Twitter rivalry between Lane Kiffin and Gator fans in the days leading up to this game?

We had beef with him after our spring game. How did that even happen?

Plus, this game would have the same benefit as the Oklahoma and Auburn games. It would give Florida fans a chance to go to The Grove and see one of the best tailgate scenes and venues in college football.

Personally, my dad and I were excited about potentially going to Florida’s game in Oxford in 2020 before COVID changed those plans.

Expanding Florida’s schedule to include Ole Miss would be really fun for everybody involved.

And from a competitive standpoint, these teams should play a pretty good game. Yes, Ole Miss is the better team, especially this season, but neither school is at the powerhouse level right now, and both are trying hard to get back to Atlanta.

Regardless of how you feel about Lane, he’s an endless stream of entertainment for all college fans, so he’d be a good character to have on the schedule.
