Florida football recruiting doesn’t ever take a break from pursuing the top players in the country.

With all eyes looking toward next weekend’s visitors’ list, which we will have plenty of coverage on, Billy Napier is still getting key visits in the days leading up to that weekend.

One of those key visits is on campus today for an unofficial visit and his first trip to The Swamp.

Cameron Coleman, a 5-star receiver from Phenix City, Alabama, is in Gainesville today to see the Gators.

Coleman has a very strange variation in how he’s rated on different sites. Every major site has him as a 5-star player and a top 6 receiver in the ’24 class, except for Rivals.

They have him as a 3-star and the 86th-best wideout in the class. It’s a little hard to figure out why Rivals is so negative about him, especially when you watch his tape.

Coleman has great length at 6’3”-180, with room to add even more weight before college. He has exceptional vertical speed getting downfield, as well as the ability to go up and high-point the ball over any defender.

Cam has a verified 4.46-second 40-yard dash and a 10’8” broad jump, making him one of the best all-around athletes in the country.

In his junior season, Coleman caught 31 balls for 542 yards and six touchdowns.

As I said, this is the Gators’ first time hosting Coleman, and they have some ground to make up in his recruitment.

Auburn currently leads for their in-state prospect with an 80.3% chance to land him per On3, followed by Clemson, LSU, and Texas A&M, all with less than a 6% chance.

But you can’t count the Gators out. With their QB already committed in DJ Lagway, as well as being in play for other elite wideouts, Coleman may want to come be a part of a special class.
