Anthony Richardson was by far the best player for the Florida Gators last season and one of the most electric players in the entire country.

His freakish abilities got him drafted 4th overall in this year’s NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, but some people struggle to get past his flaws to see his upside.

But it already seems like Richardson is proving the doubters wrong.

Anthony Richardson is turning heads and shining at the Colts’ practices and seems to be well on his way to earning the starting job as a rookie ahead of Gardner Minshew.

Minshew has said that AR has been “really impressive”, as well as citing his ability to “process fast” being an element that stood out.

One of the critiques of AR coming into the draft was his decision-making and ability to process the play quickly, so already overcoming that flaw is a great sign.

A former NFL executive has also said that Richardson could become a “much better” version of Lamar Jackson, who’s already won an MVP.

That’s pretty high praise for a guy who hasn’t even played a game yet.

Jonathan Taylor, the Colts’ star running back, is very excited to play with Richardson, saying that it’s going to get “scary” in Indy.

Zack Moss, another member of the Colt’s backfield also had good words to say about Ant.

He believes that Richardson will be a top-15 quarterback in the league in the 2023 season. Not only are those encouraging words, but it’s more proof that the belief in Indy right now is that Anthony gets the ball in week one.

It’s near impossible to not be excited to watch Anthony play in the pros and show us what he can do. We all know that his potential is one of the best players of all time.

But it’s one step at a time, starting with the 2023 season.
