Ranking the prospective starting quarterbacks in the SEC

SEC football: Do elite QBs exist at Vandy?
Swann, a 3-star recruit in the class of 2022, is walking into a team that I wouldn’t label as an offensive juggernaut.
I get it, they beat Florida this year. That isn’t the point.
It’s hard to put up consistently great numbers in Nashville, so this ranking isn’t exclusively a reflection of what Swann can do as a passer.
He appeared in nine games for the Dores last season, putting up 1,274 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions, with a QBR of 53.7.
His TD-to-INT ratio is what got him ahead of the other two QBs on this list so far. Good decision-making is a huge part of a pass-first quarterback, and AJ appears to be prolific in that area.
With Vandy, expect him to be good but not great. He has the skill set to be a solid player in the SEC, but he’ll just have modest numbers under Clark Lea.
