The metrics don’t have Auburn pegged for an immediate bounce back in 2023. But unlike the teams behind them, they have at least attempted to make wholesale changes that at least give the Tigers a chance to be better in 2023.

Hugh Freeze, while being a questionable human being, should give Auburn a boost on the headset compared to his predecessor.

And while Auburn’s recruiting hasn’t been great the last three seasons, mired on the back end of the top 25, they hit the transfer portal hard this offseason to bring in new blood.

According to Ourlads.Com, Auburn could have nine new starters this season they grabbed out of the portal.

Surely they will be an upgrade from 2022.

Right?
