SEC Power Rankings: The Empire Strikes Back

2022 Record: 11-2

2023 FPI Rating: 28.2

ESPN Win Projection: 11

Draft Kings Win Projection: 10.5

Best Recruiting Class Last Four Years:  1st (2021 and 2023)

Transfer Portal: 11th in SEC

Alabama lost two games last year by a combined four points, so if you think the empire is dead, you can do so at your own risk.

Nick Saban didn’t grab a ton from the transfer portal because he didn’t have to. Alabama has been either first or second in national recruiting for the past four seasons.

There are questions at QB following the Spring Game with Bryce Young now in the NFL and neither Jalen Milroe nor Ty Simpson instilling much confidence in the Tuscaloosa faithful.

But this is Alabama under Nick Saban.

They will find a way. They always find a way.
