(7:23 – 3rd) Jordan Travis pass complete to Malik McClain for 44 yds to the Fla 12 for a 1ST down

Win Probability – 58% FSU to 71%

By this point in the season, the script was all too familiar for the Gators. Anthony Richardson would sputter in spots but still put up enough points to win.

The problem is that Patrick Toney’s defense couldn’t stop anyone.

Tied at 24 in the second half, FSU was only a 58% favorite to pull out the victory despite the superior record and ranking.

Then Jordan Travis found Malik McClain for 44 yards, and FSU scored a touchdown six plays later.

Impressed by beating a 6-6 team, FSU fans stormed the field. McClain apparently wasn’t impressed and transferred to Penn State in the offseason.
