Florida Football Backbreakers: Jayden Daniels goes long

3rd & 8 at LSU 46
(2:24 – 2nd) Jayden Daniels pass complete to Jaray Jenkins for 54 yds for a TD

Win Probability – 57% LSU  to 74%

This game is probably best remembered as the game that officially put Florida football dead last in the country at stopping teams on third down.

And that’s not hyperbole either, Florida had the worst conversation rate of anyone following the 45-35 defeat at home to LSU.

A back-and-forth first half had the score tied at 21 with 2:30 left and LSU facing 3rd and eight from their own 46-yard line. A stop here would give Florida the ball back around the 20 with over two minutes to work with to try and take the lead before halftime.

Except Jaydon Daniels beat Jaydon Hill over the top to give LSU a 28-21 lead.

The play swung the game 17% in LSU’s favor.
