Florida football: Ventrell Miller, Round 5, Pick 176, Dallas Cowboys

Ventrell Miller has been the heart and soul of the Gators’ defense for years and is finally taking the next step to the pros.

While he doesn’t test super well or have the flash that current star LBs have, he’s shown he’s willing to get his nose dirty and hit, as well as be a vocal leader for a defense.

In Dallas, he’ll be behind guys like Leighton Vander Esch and Micah Parsons, but fill in the depth role along with Tak McKinley and Damone Clark.

Funnily enough, Miller is actually older than Micah Parsons who’s already been a star for a few years.

Dallas is a great system for Ventrell, and the room has enough talent where he won’t need to start, but not enough depth to where he won’t see the field.
