Florida football: Trey Dean, Round 6, Pick 184, New England Patriots

Trey Dean is heading to the NFL in need of developing simple things like tackling and catching. There’s no denying his strength and athleticism, but at times he would bust a coverage and not wrap up effectively, as well as a dropped pick-six last year against FSU.

What better place to work on the little things than under Bill Belichick in New England?

The Patriots have had good coaching throughout the organization for years, and that’s a place where we could see Dean really improve and become a regular player.

New England doesn’t have outstanding depth on the back end behind Kyle Dugger and Jabrill Peppers, so they have a need for a player like Dean who they can work on before throwing him out to start.
