Florida Football NFL Draft bust No. 7: Jarvis Moss

2007 Draft, Round 1, Pick 17
Denver Broncos, 2007-2010
Oakland Raiders 2010-2011

Florida fans will forever hold Jarvis Moss in their hearts following the last-second block of a South Carolina field goal in 2006 to preserve their hopes of winning a national title. The Gators wouldn’t have made the title game with the block from Moss.

And while the guy whose kick he blocked, Ryan Succop, went on to a long NFL career, the same can’t be said for Moss.

Drafted 17th overall by the Denver Broncos in 2007, Moss just never flashed in the NFL as he did in college. He only played in six games in his rookie season before breaking his shin.

2008 was his best season, but even then, he only played in 12 games and registered 2.5 sacks. He wouldn’t register a sack until Denver released him, and Oakland picked him up in 2010.

While he did play in 14 games for the Raiders in 2011, his contract wasn’t renewed, and his NFL career ended.
