Alexander Honig
If you want a bit of mystery in your transfer portal prospects, then Alexander Honig might be the one for you. Listed at 6’6″ and 265 pounds, Honig is built more like a tight end than a quarterback.
Further, if you look at his profile at TCU, the roster lists him as a QB, but then his personal page lists him as a tight end. This year, he wore #82 for the Horned Frogs, indicating he switched over.
While he didn’t do anything for TCU beyond special teams this season, Honig was listed as the 47th-rated QB coming out of high school in the class of 2021. He’s tricky to evaluate, though, because he is from Germany.
But considering Florida also needs a tight end, it might not be the worst idea to see if Honig can bring anything to Gainesville.
