Tonight is the annual Orange and Blue game for Florida football and like most Spring games it is an opportunity for fans to get a glimpse of not just the stars but also the backups. Some of the guys that will take the field tonight will see zero playing time once the Fall season starts.

But there are a handful of fringe players that aren’t pegged as contributors right now that could wind up being needed once the season rolls around. Here are a handful of these players to keep an eye on tonight.

Florida Football: Jack Pyburn

Jack Pyburn isn’t a player that most Florida fans are clamoring for. He was a lower-rated three-star prospect out of Bolles High School in the class of 2022 and last season he only made a couple of appearances on special teams.

But if you haven’t seen his high school recruiting film, do yourself a favor and watch it. In high school, Pyburn played like a guy that chugged a Red Bull before the game, then shotgunned a Bang at kick-off, then sipped on Monster on the sidelines, then went home after the game and ate four raw eggs for protein and recovery,

Tonight, he will be on the Orange Team as an Edge rusher along with Kelby Collins, T.J. Searcy, and Tyreik Norwood. Given that contact is limited he won’t get to showcase his full potential, but if he can get into the backfield a couple of times he has the potential to turn some heads.
