Florida football recruiting and Billy Napier have not been shy about trying to recruit the best players in the country, and have been more than willing to expand their reach outside of just Florida and the southeast.

We’re seeing that trend even more in the class of 2025, as Napier settles in and establishes his culture in Gainesville.

A few days ago, the Gators extended an offer to a top-20 player in the class of 2025, Noah Mikhail.

Mikhail, out of La Verne, California, is already one of the top linebackers in the country. 247 Sports has him ranked as the 20th-best player in the country, the 2nd-best linebacker in his class, and the 2nd-best player coming out of California.

So here’s my opinion on Mikhail in the simplest possible terms.

This dude is a freak.

He already has the frame to play linebacker in college at 6’3”-205, and he’s just a sophomore in high school nowhere near his peak form.

Looking at his film, he has incredible quickness and a great burst toward the ball carrier, paired with great instincts and tackling ability.

He can blow up plays in the backfield in his sleep and knocks the ball out with ease.

In addition to playing linebacker, he also gets snaps on offense at wide receiver. On his tape, he has multiple plays where he runs a go route and wins a jump ball for a touchdown.

Can you imagine if Ventrell Miller went up and caught a touchdown over a DB last year? That’s what Noah does for fun.

Mikhail can literally do it all on the football field, but figures to focus on being a linebacker at the next level.

It will be a tough battle to grab Noah off of the west coast and get him to come to play for the Gators. But with the way that the Gators are recruiting this cycle, I wouldn’t put it past them to be a major contender in his recruitment over the next two years.
