Florida football recruiting continues to progress in the 2024 class and impress a lot of talented recruits.

The latest development is that the Gators stand at the top with one other school in the recruitment of a lightning bolt at the wide receiver position.

Florida and Auburn currently sit as the top two schools for 4-star wide receiver Mario Craver.

247 Sports Composite Rankings have Mario ranked as the 239th-best player in the country, and the 35th-best wideout.

If you ask me, those rankings are watered down because of his size. Craver is very small in comparison to other college receivers, standing at 5’9”-152.

The good news for Mario is that he isn’t in college yet and has time to add mass to his frame.

The reason I say that his size waters down his ranking is because of how electric Craver is on the field. Check out his film to see what I’m talking about.

Craver is a blur on the field and has downright stupid speed. He’s able to zig and zag around every defender and is almost unstoppable on downfield routes because nobody can catch up to him.

He’s also really slippery with the ball in his hands and is a tough tackle for defenders.

On the track, Craver has verified times of 10.74 in the 100 meters and 22.59 in the 200 meters.

Craver is from Pinson, Alabama, which is only a couple of hours away from the campus of the Auburn Tigers. It may be hard for Napier and the Gators to take Mario away from his home state Tigers, but I wouldn’t count out Florida just yet.

Between Napier making strong pushes for out-of-state talent, and DJ Lagway making receivers flock to Gainesville, there aren’t many pass-catching recruits out of Florida’s reach.

Keep up with Florida football recruiting at Hail Florida Hail.
