Florida football recruiting has been trending up for the past few weeks with all of their high-level visits and the commitment of Josiah Davis.

The Gators continue their momentum today as they host the top interior offensive lineman in the class of 2024.

Jordan Seaton, from St. John’s high school in Washington D.C., is making his first visit to Gainesville today. The Gators offered Seaton back in January, and will now get to have him in The Swamp.

247 Sports Composite Rankings have Seaton as the 58th-best player in the country, the top IOL, and the second-best player coming out of DC.

Jordan is a very versatile player on the offensive line. He’s been dominant at both the tackle and guard positions, making him a potential fit at either position at the college level.

Seaton has good size at 6’5”-287, but Brian Dohn of 247 Sports says that he needs to add some upper body strength in order to be effective at a top program.

Dohn also had plenty of praise for Seaton. He says that Jordan, “Has forceful initial punch. Quick feet allows for impressive lateral movement…Brings ferocious attitude to line of scrimmage. Once engaged, drives his legs to push defender back.”

Seaton also has a tendency to block through the whistle, which has both pros and cons. The pro is that he doesn’t give up on plays and won’t be out-hustled. The con, as Dohn writes in his evaluation, is that Seaton sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him and can lose his head.

That maturity will come with more experience, so for now coaches will just see the pros of his hustle and competitiveness.

Making a good impression on and landing Seaton would be big for Napier and the Gators. Besides the obvious of him being a top OL recruit, going up to DC and taking what they want would be big for momentum on the trail.

If the Gators can earn Seaton’s services, we’ll see them get even hotter on the trail than they’ve already been.
