Many top recruits are visiting Florida football this weekend, and the Gators seem to have a lot of positive momentum on the recruiting trail.

If you didn’t think the Gators were hosting enough talent this weekend, a top-20 player in the state of Florida will be making the trip to join the already impressive list.

Making his first visit to Gainesville this weekend is 4-star wideout Chance Robinson, out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In-state recruiting has been an emphasis for Napier ever since he got to Florida, and landing Chance is a big step in growing the Gators’ dominance in recruiting local talent.

247 Sports Composite has Robinson ranked as the 138th-best player in the country, and the 23rd-best receiver in the class of 2024.

Throughout his career at St. Thomas Aquinas, Robinson has been an elite downfield threat. He doesn’t have verified breakaway speed but is great at creating separation and going up to get the ball over his defender.

He plays out the saying “If he’s even, he’s leavin'”. You can check out Chance’s film here.

After only having two catches in his sophomore year, he burst onto the scene in 2022 and led his team to winning the Florida 3M state title.

In his junior season, he had 29 catches for 540 yards and 13 touchdowns, leading his team in receiving.

An appropriate comp for Robinson to a Gator wideout would be Justin Shorter. Both are big guys with the ability to just go up and get the ball.

Chance has this ability without the height that Shorter has, which gives him an advantage in the speed and elusiveness department over Justin.

Robinson has a very high ceiling and would be a ridiculous pairing with Jeremiah Smith in the ’24 class if the Gators can land them both.

Keep up with Florida football at Hail Florida Hail.
