Florida football recruiting: Gators getting visit from top-15 OT in 2025 class
By Will Thomas
Florida football recruiting continues to catch the eyes of top talent across the country, and a lot of these players are coming down to Gainesville for a visit.
This weekend is loaded with talented visitors, one of them being a top-15 offensive tackle in the class of 2025.
Juan Gaston, out of Atlanta, Georgia, will be making his first visit to The Swamp this weekend.
The Gators don’t currently have an offer out to Gaston, but that could change this weekend when he’s there.
Gaston is already one of the most coveted tackles in his class, with schools like Alabama, Georgia, and USC already sending him offers.
Rivals has him ranked as the 116th-best player in the country, and the 13th-best tackle in the class, as well as a top 20 player in the state of Georgia.
One element that makes Juan so appealing to all these schools is his size. Gaston is already a mountain, standing at 6’8”-337 pounds.
He’s already very good at using his size and strength advantage to drive pass rushers into the ground without breaking a sweat.
One worry with younger players of his size is a lack of mobility, but that doesn’t appear to be a problem for Juan. His film shows that he’s already very good at getting to the second level, and is able to avoid just being run around by a defender.
He’ll make you earn it if you’re trying to get by him. You can check out his tape here.
Again, expect to see the Gators throw Gaston an offer this weekend. A player of his caliber is too important to let leave campus without a scholarship.
If Napier and his staff can make a good impression, they may gain a leg up in his recruitment, and get one step closer to nabbing a top player out of Georgia.
Keep up with Florida football recruiting at Hail Florida Hail.
