Florida football and Billy Napier continue to wow recruits in the 2024 cycle and are making their way into a lot of recruitment early on in the process.

This week they made the top ten for another elite recruit on the defensive side of the ball.

4-star LB Aaron Chiles released his top ten the other day, with the Gators making the cut.

Other teams on his list included Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, and others.

Chiles, out of Olney, Maryland, is one of the highest-regarded linebackers in the class of 2024. He’s ranked as the 88th-best player in the country, and the 7th-best at his position per 247 Sports. He also earned the title of the top player in Maryland.

Chiles has great size at this point in his career, standing at 6’3”-220. Brian Dohn of 247 Sports says of Aaron, “burst, instincts and physical style of play [stand] out.”

Not only does he have great size, but he moves very well also. “Athleticism is evident in person and on tape…Closing speed flashes when playing downhill. Moves well laterally and shows ability to get to [the] sideline.”

Having a speedy linebacker who isn’t afraid to blow up run plays is a must for any SEC program. The ability to track down speedy backs on the perimeter, and be willing to get your nose in the backfield to slow down big bruisers is incredibly valuable.

In 2022 Chiles had 74 tackles and 10 sacks with 15 TFLs, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. His ability to blow up plays in the backfield and knock the ball out makes him a threat to change the game at a moment’s notice.

Aaron has an official visit scheduled, coming to Gainesville in June of this year.

Chiles would be a great pair with Myles Graham, and could just about solidify the Gators’ LB class for the 2024 cycle.

Keep up with Florida football at Hail Florida Hail.
