Florida Gators: Chris Chiozza at the buzzer

Mike White’s squad was seeded 4th in the East Regional in 2017, but the pathway to the Final Four was wide open after number one seed Villanova was knocked out by eight seed Wisconsin and number two seed Duke was taken out by South Carolina, the seventh seed.

In true Mike White fashion though, Florida was in a dog fight with Wisconsin in their Sweet 16 matchup and had to go to overtime.

Things looked even more bleak when Wisconsin made two free throws with four seconds left in OT to take an 83-81.

Mike White drew up a play that had Chris Chiozza dribble up the length of the floor and with one second left he found himself at the top of the three-point arc.

Chiozza launched a floating three point shot that beat the buzzer and sent the Gators to the Elite Eight.

Of course, Florida would fall to South Carolina in the Elite Eight and the Gators haven’t been back to the Sweet 16 since.
