The NFL Combine is this week and the Florida Gators will have nine former players in Indianapolis to showcase their athleticism. While each player will want to have a good showing, no player seems to have more steam or momentum than Anthony Richardson.

It was reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that Richardson does plan to throw during the Combine on Saturday. Most of the top prospects will also be throwing, though Bryce Young has decided to opt out.

The Combine should showcase Richardson’s arm strength and knowing NFL GMs, someone is going to fall in love with him.

Florida Gators Track: Parker Valby subplot

Florida’s women’s track team was second at the SEC Indoor Track Championships over the weekend, with Talitha Diggs setting an American record in the 400-meter dash. Finishing behind Arkansas in the conference meet doesn’t mean much for Florida’s national title hopes as the national meet tends to require your studs to do well vs having depth.

That however makes the absence of Parker Valby from the SEC meet an interesting subplot heading toward the national meet.

Valby was the runner-up in the 5K at the NCAA outdoor meet last June and the runner-up at the cross country national meet in November.

She is currently ranked 3rd in the country in the 3K.

LetsRun.Com has had plenty of rumors and speculation, from her being injured (the most plausible) to her wanting to transfer (not as likely).

Either way, it will be worth monitoring for Florida’s chances to defend their national title.

Jac honored for his jacks

Jac Caglianone is turning into a superstar in the college baseball world as the sophomore from Tampa can pitch and he can hit.

Against Cincinnati on Sunday, Caglianone went 4.2 innings on the mound and hit three home runs to cap off his week.

The SEC honored Caglianone as their co-player of the week.
