Florida basketball has two games left in the regular season, and with not much left to play for except pride, the Gators will have to dig deep to find a pair of wins this week.

But if the Gators are going to be able to get up for any game at this point, you would hope it will come in their matchup tonight. Florida is traveling up to Athens to take on their rival Georgia Bulldogs in their second meeting of the season.

The Gators got the best of the Dawgs in their first matchup in Gainesville, winning by a score of 82-75.

Now, without Colin Castleton and tourney hopes to play for, the Gators look for a season sweep of UGA.

Florida basketball: Short road favorites are always scary

It came as a bit of a surprise, but Florida opened up as 2-point favorites on the road, and despite a majority of bets coming in on UGA (68%), the line either hasn’t moved much, although you may find a few -1.5s if you look hard enough.

Short road favorites are always scary to bet on in college basketball, meaning that short home underdogs are a very attractive bet to make. It’s no wonder why we’re seeing a lot of tickets come in for Georgia.

In a revenge spot, against your rival who doesn’t have their best player, just a few hours away from March where we get to throw all logic out the window.

Also, as someone who has watched every Gator game, and has to soldier through their last three, how can I have any faith in Florida as a road favorite?

It seems really sketchy, and if you really want to play it, you may have to go through the physical pain of betting on UGA.

The total opened up at 143.5 and has since ballooned up to 146.5 with 67% of bets coming in on the over.

Unless this gets all the way up to 150, the over is a great play here. The over is 8-2 in UF’s last 10 games and 6-4 in UGA’s last 10.

Losing Castleton means that UGA will get a lot more points at the rim, and the Gators will shoot a lot, and I mean they have to make enough to get to 70. Right?

Predictions: UGA +2, over 146.5.
