It’s round two of Florida basketball vs Mike White. The Gators got the best of White’s Bulldogs in their first matchup in Gainesville, 85-72, and the Dawgs will be looking for revenge over the Gators on their home court.

In the first game, UGA’s Terry Roberts was the only reason that the game was any close. He led UGA with 25 points and eight rebounds, almost singlehandedly carrying Georgia to a win.

For the Gators, they got a ton of bench production in this one, as Kowacie Reeves and Myreon Jones and 12 and 13 points respectively with the second unit.

Perhaps the biggest difference maker in this game won’t be on the floor for Florida the second time around. Colin Castleton, despite only scoring 12 points in the first game, had seven blocks and eight rebounds, controlling the paint and the basket for all 40 minutes.

One thing the Gators will need to be careful of in this one is Kario Oquendo, Terry Roberts’ running mate in the backcourt. Oquendo wasn’t a very big factor in the first matchup but has always been a much better player at home than on the road.

Not to mention that he’ll be wanting to get the Gators back after his bad first game.

I don’t really need to state the obvious reason why this game is so important. It’s Florida-Georgia. It doesn’t matter if we were playing them in JV curling, we got to get up for this game.

If the Gators can secure a two-game sweep over Mike White and Georgia, it will be a big positive going into the offseason.
