Florida basketball, ever since the injury to Colin Castleton, has pretty much had to accept the fact that they won’t be making the NCAA Tournament.

Their only great win is against Tennessee, but a few bad losses combined with an inefficient offense have the Gators far out of the tournament picture, with their only chance of making the big dance being winning the SEC Tournament.

The Gators had no shortage of opportunities to get big wins that would have made their tournament chances much better. The beginning of conference play started with a game on the road against Auburn, which would have been a great Quad 1 win.

They also had two games against now-ranked Texas A&M that both came down to the wire, either of which would have been big wins. Not to mention a pair of games against Kentucky that would have been big conference wins.

However, the Gators just couldn’t pull off big wins when they needed them.

But, there is some hope that the Gators can finish off the season strong and have some positive momentum as they head into the offseason and look to have a better year in 2023-2024.

The Gators’ schedule only has three games left on it, and it may be the easiest three-game stretch that the Gators have had since SEC play started. Obviously, every game is made harder with the absence of Castleton, but if there are three games that UF can win, it’s these.

Here’s what the rest of the road looks like for the Gators.
