Former Florida Gators track star Anna Hall has not slowed down since turning pro last year. Hall won the NCAA Indoor National Championships in the pentathlon and the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the heptathlon in 2022. The Florida Gators women won the team title for both events.

Now representing Adidas, Hall continues to be a force on the global stage. She was 3rd at the World Championships in the heptathlon in 2022 and yesterday she set an American record for in indoor pentathlon with 5004 points at the USATF Indoor Championships.

Hall ran the 60 meter hurdles in 8.04 seconds, cleared 1.91 meters in the high jump (6 feet, 3 inches), threw the shot put 13.80 meters (45 feet, 3 inches), long jumped 6.34 meters (20 feet, 9 inches) and ran the 800 meter run in 2:05.70.

Hall’s mark was only nine points off the indoor world record.

Florida Gators: DJ Lagway is number one

In case you needed any more hype surrounding DJ Lagway, or you just wanted to hear positive news surrounding Florida Gators recruiting, Lagway is reminded everyone on Twitter that he is the top rated dual-threat QB in the nation according to Rivals.Com.

Lagway was considered the top rated dual-threat QB when he committed to Florida back in December, but his stock has continued to climb since then. Rivals updated their rankings this week and while still a four-star on Rivals, he has moved up 30 slots overall and is considered the 45th best prospect in the nation.

Media Day date is set

Since we here at Hail Florida Hail are a fan driven site (hence the network name FanSided), we don’t get to travel to fancy things like media day. For most fans, media day offers a first impression of how coaches feel about their squads heading into the season.

The SEC announced yesterday that this year’s media day will be held in Nashville from July 17-20.

On a personal note, July 17 will be my 6th year wedding anniversary. And my wife loves country music and has also wanted to visit Nashville.

So…

(The answer is no. I have a daughter being born in three weeks to go along with my toddler son.)

Billy Napier and crew will take the podium on July 19.
