Now that the Super Bowl is over and the confetti has been swept up, NFL pundits will begin to keep rolling out their mock draft projections to fill their quota of stories. Florida Gators QB Anthony Richardson continues to be high in a number of mock drafts.

The most recent projection to place Richardson in the top ten is from ESPN’s Todd McShay, projecting the former Florida Gators QB is picked 9th overall to the Carolina Panthers.

There is certainly merit to McShay putting Richardson in Charlotte as the Panthers want to move on from their Baker Mayfield experiment.

As we stated before, there will be risk with any team that drafts Richardson.

Florida Gators Softball shows no mercy

For the second night in a row the Florida Gators softball seal clubbed the Jacksonville Dolphins in a five-inning mercy rule. The Gators won their home opener 11-0 and have ended all five of their games this year via mercy rule.

Skylar Wallace was 2-2 with two RBIs, Kendra Falby was also 2-2 with a walk, and Charla Echols was 2-3 with four RBIs.

The Florida Gators will next take on Connecticut tomorrow at 6 PM.

Women’s basketball to take on USC

Since entering SEC play, it has not been a great season for the Florida Gators women’s basketball team. While Florida sits at 14-11 overall, the squad is only 3-9 against SEC opponents. Florida is on a three-game losing streak, with losses of 68-42, 73-56, and 81-55.

It won’t get easier for Florida tonight as the squad will be in Colombia, SC to take on the number one ranked South Carolina Gamecocks.

Betting odds are not readily available for the game, but it is safe to say that Florida will be massive underdogs heading into tonight’s contest. The Gamecocks are considered -110 favorites to win the women’s national championship.

Tipoff will be at 7 PM and can be streamed on SEC+.
