When Florida went to play Kentucky in Rupp, they fell behind but never quit fighting. They had the ball down three with a minute left before falling apart and dropping the game.

But now they have to walk into our building and play in front of our fans. Not the same as having your own fans and Rupp refs supporting you.

Kentucky’s game right before this one is notable too. They host Tennessee, in what will be their last chance in the regular season for a statement win. That kind of emotional game can drain a team, and the Gators could be the benefactors of that when Kentucky comes to visit.

I think Florida is in a great spot here too. Let’s say they lost that game to Arkansas. Now they’re even more desperate, at home, with a good team in front of them that they have to beat. If they win at Arkansas, now their confidence is at an all-time high and all they see are some tiny little cats that need to be put down.

I think Kentucky gets slapped around in this one. Give me the Gators in a revenge spot against a rival that we spare no feelings for. An energetic win in this spot would be huge for the Gators as they have just three games after this against bad opponents.

Keep up with Florida basketball at Hail Florida Hail.
