Hail Florida Hail Confidence: Gators 80% chance to win

Ole Miss has been worse than Vandy all year, but there’s a small chance that the Gators could be catching them at a bad time. After losing 11 of 12 games, they went on the road and beat Georgia.

Now I know that UGA is no juggernaut, but as I said before, winning on the road is very tough in college basketball, especially for bad teams like the Rebels.

Before they come to Gainesville, Ole Miss gets to play South Carolina at home, which is a game that Ole Miss should win comfortably. So now Florida will play a team that has won two straight and has proven they’re able to win on the road, even if it isn’t very often.

Ole Miss isn’t playing for a tournament berth or anything. The only way they make it is if they go win the SEC Tournament in a few weeks. But they may be trying to play spoiler.

Obviously, I still have a lot of confidence in Florida basketball here, but this has the potential to be a trap game with a trip to Fayetteville after this one for UF. Barring an offensive performance worse than they gave us at Alabama, the Gators should still be able to win this one and start building momentum.
