Shrine Bowl 2023: Date, Time, Location, How to Watch

The Shrine Bowl is this week and the annual matchup between the East and the West will take place to give seniors and juniors the opportunity to showcase their talents in front NFL coaches in preparation of the NFL draft.

Trey Dean, Brenton Cox, and Justin Shorter are all playing for the West team while Amari Burney will be on the East.

Shrine Bowl 2023:

When: Thursday, February 2, 2023

Where: Las Vegas, (NV Allegiant Stadium)

Time: 8:30 PM ET

TV: NFL Network

Leading up to the event, both squads have had four days of practice, culminating on Tuesday. Wednesday is a Media Day for the players with Thursday being game day.

With the NFL Pro Bowl also in town, there are plenty of NFL personnel for the players to interact with. The East Squad is led by Atlanta Falcons special teams coach Marquice Williams. The Falcons coaching staff comprises the bulk of the other assistant coaches the players are working with.

Meanwhile, the West Squad is led by New England Patriots wide receiver coach Troy Brown. Bill Belichick is a special advisor to the squad and newly hired offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is also in Vegas working with the West Squad.

The Shrine Bowl boasts that it is the longest running college football all-star game in the country, with its origins dating back to 1925. In addition to being a showcase for draft hopefuls, the game is meant to benefit Shriners Children’s.
