Florida football: Multiple Gators look to make an impact in Divisional Round
By Will Thomas
Dante Fowler Jr was the third-overall pick in the 2015 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He hasn’t had the dominant career he had hoped to have, however, as he’s bounced around a few teams love the past few years.
But he seems to have found a home on Dallas’ elite defense and is looking to bring Dallas to The Super Bowl.
Fowler is a great piece to have on that defensive front. The Dallas pass rush is headlined by Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence, but Fowler is quietly wrecking opposing offenses week in and week out.
Dante got 27 tackles, six sacks, and forced two fumbles during the season. He had just one tackle in their blowout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
The Cowboys will have their hands full with the 49ers’ offense tonight. Fowler especially, as OT Trent Williams awaits him on the San Francisco offensive front.
If Williams is preoccupied with Parsons and Lawrence, don’t be surprised to see Fowler get into the backfield and make life scary for Brock Purdy.
