Florida football in the playoffs: Zach Carter

Zach Carter, the big edge rusher who was taken in the third round of the 2022 draft, has been a huge part of Cincinnati’s front seven.

In his rookie season, he put up 23 tackles and 0.5 sacks. He made his share of big plays when the Bengals needed him in the Wild Card round against the Ravens as well. He racked up four tackles, three of which were solo, and set the edge well against a good running team.

Carter has size that just can’t be ignored. He’s 6’4”-290 and is able to move offensive linemen at will.

He’s developed very well so far in the pros, as nobody expected him to make the impact he’s having this early in his career.

Zach will be very busy today against the Bills. Buffalo leads the NFL in yards per carry, and they’ve got this guy named Josh Allen that likes to break outside of the pocket and try to get around the defensive perimeter.

If Carter is able to stifle Allen and the Bills’ offense, he’ll establish himself as a major factor on the defensive line.
