Mohamoud Diabate Came to the Florida Gators with high hopes, but he never quite had the impact fans were hoping for. He transferred to Utah last season and was a featured member in their linebacking core  this season.

Diabate had 58 tackles and five sacks for the Utes in 2022.

He announced on Twitter yesterday that he would be entering the NFL Draft, foregoing his extra eligibility from the bonus Covid year. Notably, Diabate thanked the Florida Gators along with Utah in his announcement.

Florida Gators News: Kyle Trask to be active

If you follow the Tampa Bay Buccaneers you know it’s the Tom Brady show and there isn’t much oxygen for anyone or anything else. As Brady is on his last legs, we think, the Bucs tried to hedge their bets in 2021 when they took Kyle Trask in the second round.

Trask’s time with the Bucs has been relatively quiet. Outside of some preseason performances, the former Florida Gators QB has been relegated to third-string status while Blaine Gabbert has been listed as the official backup.

The Buccaneers have clinched their playoff spot, rendering their final regular season game meaningless this Sunday.

He told reporters yesterday that he will be activated for Sunday’s tilt vs the Falcons and he does anticipate taking some snaps.

It’s just the second time Trask has been activated for a regular season game.

More Gators in an All-American game

Ten future members of the Florida Gators were in Orlando last week into this week to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. Most reports gave these players positive reviews.

Because reasons, there are multiple All-American games in America and this week in San Antonio running back Treyaun Webb and defensive lineman Kamran James are currently going through drills to prepare for Saturday’s All-American Bowl.

Neither have caught the eye of the national press this week.
