Florida football: Times the Gators went “Ice Cold”

Florida Football: Jordan Reed fumbles
This play is one of the first things I can remember from my football-watching life. And I don’t need to tell Gator fans that it’s not a great feeling to have as your first football memory.
The #2 ranked, 7-0 Gators were taking on the #10, 6-1 Georgia Bulldogs in another classic at the WLOCP. This game features one of the best drive-result sequences I’ve ever seen outside of a BIG 10 game in late November.
Starting at the 11:45 mark in the 1st quarter, the drives go turnover on downs, fumble, punt, INT, fumble, INT, field goal, INT, field goal, punt, INT, punt. Just a barn burner.
With six minutes left in the 4th quarter, the Gators were down by eight with the ball, and a chance to go down and tie the game. They drove all the way down to the UGA 18, and Jeff Driskel complete a pass to Jordan Reed, who was running at the five-yard line with a chance to score.
But he forgot the ball.
Jarvis Jones of UGA punched it out and the Bulldogs took over possession, ending the Gators’ bid for a 12-0 season.
