Denson, a 4-star CB out of Jacksonville, Florida, had a lot of smoke around him the night before his signing that Miami may have been making a push.

Gator fans don’t need a reminder about Miami outbidding the Gators for some touted recruits, so when it came out that the Canes had an interest in Denson, it seemed like Florida may be on its way to losing the talented defender.

The good news for Gator fans is that Sharif stayed solid and signed to come play for Florida. The bad news is that there’s no guarantee he’ll stay.

With a deep DB room in Gainesville, there isn’t any guaranteed playing time for anybody. And if Miami had an interest in Denson before he signed, there’s no reason to think they won’t have interest in a year or two. And we know the NIL power they have.
