As college hoops season is starting to get into full swing, Florida basketball is getting set for game three of their season at home. They look to follow up a solid win against Kennesaw State with a domination of the FAU Owls.

Also, when was the last time we played back-to-back games against two teams called the Owls?

The Gators welcome a 1-1 FAU team coming off a loss against Ole Miss. The Gators are 13-point favorites, and -1,000 on the money line if you don’t care about value at all.

UF looks to improve to 3-0 on the year against an inferior FAU squad.

Florida basketball: How to watch the Gators

We finally made it. No longer are we shackled by “plus” networks with bad cameras. You can tune in to the SEC Network tonight at 7 pm to catch Florida in action. You can also watch the game on Fubo TV.

Florida basketball: Things to know

For the Gators, they’ll need to shoot the three-ball better tonight. Castleton is dominant, but FAU brings in 7’1” Vladiuslav Goldin tonight, who while averaging less than one block a game for his career, can disrupt the Gators’ interior scoring.  They also need to make sure they stay out of foul trouble.

Against Kennesaw St, Kyle Lofton fouled out of the game with 12 minutes left, which is a big reason why the Gators only won by 10. As long as the Gators don’t beat themselves, they’ll be in the clear tonight

Defensively, the focus needs to be on the Owls’ big man Goldin. With that height, he’s always a threat to score. Castleton and Fudge will likely be the ones drawing Goldin on defense and will need to work hard to disrupt his rhythm and try and force some bad looks and turnovers.

As long as Goldin doesn’t lay the ball in 50 times tonight, the Gators should improve to 3-0 tonight.

Keep up with Florida basketball at Hail Florida Hail.
