Florida football: Odds and predictions for Florida vs Texas A&M week 10
By Will Thomas
After a tough loss last weekend, Florida football looks to bounce back and grab a win down in College Station.
This week the Gators travel down to Texas to take on the struggling Texas A&M Aggies. They’ll make the trip down one of their starters on defense, and will be behind the 8-ball trying to pull the upset.
A&M has lost their last four games, albeit three of them by one score. The Gators are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak of their own, and are running out of time to snag the wins they need to make a decent bowl game.
Florida football: Odds vs Texas A&M
The Gators open up as 3-point underdogs on the road. Despite A&M not being what it used to be, this line makes sense. College Station is never an easy place to play, even if the game is at 11 am local time like this matchup is.
We know that the Gators are going to try and establish the run early and control the tempo. That’s the best way they can facilitate the game and try to win. What we don’t know is how the defense will perform.
With the surprise dismissal of Brenton Cox Jr., as well as the consistent struggles we’ve seen from the unit this year, we aren’t sure who will, or is able to step up and make a game-changing play.
The over/under is set at 53.5, right around where the number has been for most of Florida’s games this year. It is worth noting that the over has hit in 4 of UF’s last six games. This is due to the Gator offense being consistent, and the Florida D being consistently bad.
We will get into our predictions with our best bets piece later in the week, but for right now the lean seems to be A&M -3 (sadly) and over 53.5.
Keep up with Florida football at Hail Florida Hail.
