Florida Football: Black Friday showdown with the Neighbors to the West

ESPN FPI – FSU favored with 67% confidence

Hail Florida Hail – Coin flip, 50% confidence

Because TV executives decided UCF vs USF on Black Friday wasn’t an enticing matchup, the Florida vs Florida State game has bumped them out of that timeslot and will get the primetime treatment after Thanksgiving.

FSU has a win over LSU. Florida does not.

FSU has a fairly solid defense this season. Florida does not.

So there are reasons one could justify that FSU is favored with 67% confidence. This is also the same FSU team that lost to a Florida team that didn’t have a coach last year. And while FSU have been competitive in all three defeats, loses to NC State and Wake Forest don’t quite compare to Tennessee or Georgia.

This game will be close and could go either way, hence the 50-50 confidence.

Keep up with all things Florida football with Hail Florida Hail.
