Florida Football: Gators forced to condemn a losers hate speech after game
Yesterday didn’t go so well for the Florida Gators on the field. The Gators lost 42-20 and it is evident that Florida football has work to do to get to the level of Georgia.
After the game however some loser took it upon himself (or herself) to display messaging all around Jacksonville, including on TIAA Bank Field, that was hateful, reckless, and screamed of a fragile ego that society must reject.
Florida Football: It’s a sad world
We here at Hail Florida Hail stay away from politics because there are hundreds of other outlets you can get your fix from. We stick to Florida football and in a month Florida basketball because that’s what people want to read about.
Yet here we are writing about a statement the Gators put out this morning because someone decided to use the Florida-Georgia game as a platform to confirm that they themselves are a human piece of garbage.
We’re not going to repeat what was plastered all around Jacksonville, you can go find that yourself. It dealt with Kanye West and offered words of agreement for Mr. Ye.
And we’re not weighing in on Kanye specifically because again hundreds of thousands of pages and sites have already done that. But if you’re sitting there going “What he said wasn’t THAT bad,” yesterday’s stunt kind of proves why it was that bad.
Whoever this person took their crappy belief, utilized the oxygen that Ye gave it, then chose Saturday to broadcast said crappy belief knowing the eyeballs he/she would get.
The grand irony of it all is that this person and/or people who are still sitting there going “The message displayed wasn’t that big of a deal. You’re just a triggered, coastal elitist snowflake that problem grooms your son Ben,” are the same people that freaked out when Colin Kaepernick took and knee and have screamed for the past decade “Keep politics out of sports.”
It’s amazing when the messaging affirms something you believe in that using sports as a platform stops being a problem.
Keep up with all things Florida football with Hail Florida Hail.
