Florida Football: Jaydon Hill comeback story

Continuing the theme of the offense and the defense being unable to get on the same page at the same time, Florida’s offense sputtered along for the first half against Missouri. After 30 minutes, the Gators had only scored 10 points.

Three of those points came after Xzavier Henderson returned a punt and Florida had to settle for a field goal. The other seven came after Jaydon Hill returned an interception for a touchdown.

Hill would have another interception while Missouri was in field goal range and if we are being honest, we would need to combine both of these plays to truly flip the game. Since this article is about making declarative statements, Florida probably loses without the pick-six.

The game would have been tied at 17 but knowing Missouri they probably would have gone for two like they did last year. Would they have gotten it? Who knows, but without Hill’s pick-six, there would have been some uncomfortable questions Billy Napier would be answering.
