Florida Football: Gators Survivor Series would make entertaining bye week
Justin Shorter opts to be next. The commentary team talks about how he was the chosen one. How he was mentored by the likes of HHH and Randy Orton. How Orton in particular was once in his shoes.
This is Shorter’s moment to prove that he can carry the load and be the leader. Cox is still in the ring and delivers a punch. Shorter exchanges a punch back. A couple more punches and then a tie-up.
Cox overpowers Shorter with a body slam. Shorter is back to his feet and Cox gives another body slam. Once more Shorter is up and he swings at Cox. Cox ducks and with Shorter turned around he delivers a German suplex.
Cox looks over his prey and gives a couple of kicks to the ribs. Doubled over in pain Shorter tries to get up but Cox delivers another German suplex. And another. And a third for good measure.
As Cox looks down at Shorter, a look of sadness comes over his face. He realizes they were supposed to be the ones that took Florida to the promise land. They both transferred in with hopes of a national title for Florida football, and yet here they are having to squabble after a loss to LSU.
Cox sighs as Shorter gets up, the camera zooms in on his face, and he says, “I’m sorry.”
Spear.
