Florida football: There was no easy way out

After losing Feleipe Franks for the season against Kentucky, Kyle Trask stepped in and led Florida football to one of its best seasons in recent history. 2019 was also the season of Florida’s defense not surrounding a single point after the Tom Petty karaoke session.

The Gators went undefeated at home in 2019 and outscored all six opponents in the fourth quarter:

  • UT Martin 14-0
  • Tennessee 10-0
  • Towson 7-0
  • Auburn 7-0
  • Vanderbilt 14-0
  • Florida State 3-0

Florida’s only two losses were on the road to LSU (the eventual national champs) and in Jacksonville against Georgia. But it was a good year to tell visitors to The Swamp “There ain’t no easy way out.”
