As we get closer and closer to Florida football’s matchup with Missouri, let’s take a look at where the smart money is for this SEC contest.

The Gators come in as heavy favorites, laying 10.5 at home to a subpar Tigers team. Despite Florida’s periodic struggles, they still have a potent offense and playmakers on the defensive side of the ball.

For Missouri, outside of Luther Burden III, Mizzou doesn’t have many offensive weapons, and their defense has struggled against the run game.

Are all of these factors enough to propel the Gators to a big win?

Florida football: Bets bets for week six

I say yes. FanDuel has the Gators at -115 to cover, and Missouri at -105 to cover, meaning that the book also favors a Gator blowout.

Missouri is also coming off of a heartbreak loss against Georgia last weekend. They were ahead for so long before losing in the final minutes. That kind of collapse can really damage a team’s morale, so I think they come into The Swamp sluggish and slow.

The Gators, on the other hand, will not. They had an awesome offensive showing against a bad Eastern Washington team last week, and are looking for their first back-to-back wins of the season.

Not to mention that Missouri beat Florida last season in Columbia, so the Gators will be out for revenge.

I also like the over in this game. At 54.5, you can buy the over for the price of -115. The Florida offense was firing on all cylinders a week ago, and I expect that to continue against Missouri.

The Tigers also have enough of an offensive presence to score once or twice in this one. Luther Burden III is explosive enough to break at least one big play, and the Gator offense has looked a little iffy at times this year.

If you want to enjoy the Gators game and make some money on the side, take the Gators to cover, and the over.
