Florida football: Florida vs Missouri odds and predictions week 6
By Will Thomas
As we head into week six, Florida football is getting back into SEC play as they welcome the struggling Missouri Tigers into Gainesville.
The Gators are coming off of a dominant win against Eastern Washinton, while the Tigers come into town after almost taking down Georgie at home last week.
Despite their 2-3 record, Mizzou has played both UGA and Auburn close, although Auburn may be even worse than Missouri.
Regardless, this is the biggest favorite that UF has been outside of their cupcake games. It’s also a revenge game, as Florida lost in Columbia last season. Let’s take a look at the odds for this game, as well as make some predictions.

Florida football: Odds for week six
The Gators open up as a 10.5-point favorite at home. At first glance, 10.5 seems like a lot of points for an SEC matchup.
But if you look a little closer, it isn’t the strangest thing. Aside from keeping it close with a UGA team who struggled with Kent St the week before, Missouri has not looked good. At all.
“But they were literally an inch from beating Auburn!”
Yeah well they didn’t. And games against this Auburn team shouldn’t be close if you’re worth anything. (Ahem LSU)
The over under is set at 54.5. Despite all of the unders I’ve taken this season, I like the over here. I know it was EWU, but the Gators’ offense was really clicking this past Sunday, and they’ll continue that momentum this week.
On the other side, Florida’s defense has been solid but hasn’t really shut anybody down. I think there’s a good back and forth of scoring early on, and the Gators will pull away late.
Florida football: Predictions for week six
As I said before, I like the over. I think plenty of points will be scored in spite of the noon kickoff, and it’ll be a fun one in Gainesville.
I also do think that Florida covers 10.5. Missouri is just not very good. That’s really all there is to it.
Last week, we were all Missouri fans. But that was a once-in-a-decade game for them that they didn’t even finish.
Gators by a million.
