GERVON DEXTER. C +. . .

In his third season with Florida football, Gervon Dexter had an excellent game against Kentucky, recording three solo tackles, four assisted tackles, and an interception.

His performances against USF and Tennessee are a bit more complicated. Dexter had zero statistical contribution against USF. No QB hits, no tackles, no nothing. He had just one solo tackle against Tennessee.

Stats do not tell the entire story as both USF and Tennessee employed double teams and at one point against Tennessee, he was triple-teamed.

But for someone listed at 6-6, 312 pounds that can move like Dexter can move it would be nice to see one or two more breakthrough plays from one of the leaders of the Gators’ defense.
