Florida football: September report cards for Gators defensive players
Ventrell Miller might not be the flashiest guy for Florida’s defense. He may not have had the recruiting hype some other guys had and still have.
But Miller is the heart and soul of the Gators’ defense and if we could, we would make him Florida defensive MVP right now.
It was obvious against USF when Miller was hurt that no one else for Florida football knew what was supposed to happen. As previously mentioned, Burney didn’t step up and James tried but just wasn’t ready.
Against Tennessee, it was unclear if Miller was going to play heading into the game, but once on the field, he had two QB hits and one forced fumble.
