Florida football: Weather, announcers, other notes vs USF
Rain is in the forecast on Saturday in Gainesville, but it should clear up by the time Florida football is ready to kick off against USF. Showers are expected to begin around 11 AM and will continue through roughly 3 PM. While the rain should be cleared up by kickoff, it will be interesting to see how slick the field may or may not be from the rain.
Kick-off is at 7:30 and the temperature is expected to be 78 degrees.
Florida football: Announcers
Saturday’s game will be on the SEC Network and can be streamed on a variety of platforms including fubo TV.
Tom Hart will be the play-by-play man for the game while Jordan Rodgers will be the analyst with Cole Cubelic as the sideline reporter.
Hart, Rodgers, and Cubelic have all worked together for the SEC Network since 2017 and have done Gator games in the past. Rodgers is of course the former Vanderbilt QB with a more successful brother you may have heard of. Cubelic was an offensive lineman for Auburn from 1996 through 2001.
Florida football: Injuries
Michael Tarquin and Ventrell Miller were both banged up against Kentucky and neither will be available against USF. Tarquin’s injury appears to be more serious compared to Miller’s and it would not be surprising if Tarquin also missed next week against Tennessee.
In Miller’s absence will be Scooby Williams and redshirt freshman Austin Barber will get the start in place of Tarquin.
Backup QB Jack Miller and cornerback Jaydon Hill are also still listed as out.
Florida football: Recruits in The Swamp
The Gators will have several visitors inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday as Billy Napier and crew hope to turn them into the next members of Florida football:
- John Walker
- Jordan Hall
- Kamran James
- Jaden Robinson
- Ja’Keem Jackson
- Knijeah Harris
Walker might be the most notable attendee to the game as the defensive tackle is committed to UCF, but will coming to The Swamp for the third week in a row. Billy Napier and crew will be looking to pull of the flip.
Keep up with all things Florida football with Hail Florida Hail.
