Amari Burney

Back for his bonus 5th season due to 2020 not counting because of Covid, Amari Burney has seen it all during his time as a Florida Gator.

Listed at 6-2, 228 pounds, Burney is listed 10 pounds lighter than his listed weight in 2021.Burney played in every game last year, but saw his most significant snap counts against FSU and UCF.

Burney’s strength is his versatility. He played mostly in the middle under Todd Grantham but towards the end of last year was seen playing out wide and even acting as a safety that wasn’t afraid to deliver a punishing hit if needed.

Burney still needs to work on over tackling technique and is prone to be lost in pass coverage at times.

Right now Burney is a fringe NFL prospect.
