Chief Borders

Border saw very minimal action in four appearances last season.

Still retaining his redshirt though, Borders is listed at 6-4, 241`pounds.

A four-star prospect out of Georgia, Borders has the size and length one looks for in an SEC linebacker.

Based on his high school film, Borders has decent speed around the edge and his strongest attribute coming out of high school was his overall motor. Borders wasn’t afraid to chase guys down from 10+ yards away.

Despite his size though, with a 330 pound bench press and a 500 pound squat in high school. Borders’ high school film didn’t really showcase a guy that felt like the most physical one on the field.

When given the opportunity for an open field tackle he would deliver the boom, but when blocked by guys smaller than him it didn’t feel like Borders would assert his will.

But with a young group of outside linebackers, Borders will certainly have opportunities to get on the field this season.
